Beton’s Julie Buffenbarger is the recipient of the 2019 Concrete Sustainability Award from the American Concrete Institute (ACI). Buffenbarger received the award at the organization’s spring convention on March 24, 2019.
This award was established in 2010 to recognize individuals or teams who have made contributions in highlighting concrete’s role related to sustainability.
The award goes to someone with notable contributions in demonstrating or improving concrete’s sustainable attributes through research, design, education or construction, and/or the use of concrete in innovative ways to contribute to a more sustainable built environment.
